Never in my imagination did I envision the extraordinary opportunity and honor to represent as Mrs. Taiwan USA for the Mrs. Asia USA 2024 pageant. Reflecting on my journey, I realize that every moment has led to this monumental and humbling experience. As the 2024 Mrs. Taiwan delegate, I embrace my identity, values, and personal journey as a daughter of Taiwanese immigrants, a mother, wife, technology executive, and entrepreneur. With a bigger calling this year, I also launched the Dragon Hearts Foundation, making it my life mission to create a lasting impact on the world.

Born in Taiwan in the Year of the Dragon, my early years were marked by resilience and adventure. As a toddler, I followed my parents to Salt Lake City, Utah, with little more than a couple of suitcases. My father pursued his Master’s degree, and we eventually moved to Chicago. Despite the fun times growing up with Saturday cartoons and Pizza Hut outings, my childhood was tainted by bouts of bullying and discrimination. I vividly remember the "ching chong chang" taunts and physical aggression because I was Asian. After 10 years in the US, my parents packed their bags and moved back to their homeland when I was 12 years old.

At 13, I made the bold decision to return to the US without my family to complete my high school studies, driven by a strong sense of purpose. My journey continued at UC Berkeley and then UCLA for my MBA, leading to a successful 20+ year career in Silicon Valley working in leadership roles at HP, Oracle, Yahoo, Adobe, Ingram Micro, and Cisco. Amidst this, my husband and I raised two children and supported my daughter through mental health struggles, ADHD, and a severe scoliosis diagnosis which resulted in spinal corrective surgery. With her own perseverance and a support system, we as a family have triumphed through the challenges and have come out stronger.

Alongside my corporate career and my husband's 20 year tenure at NVIDIA, we built a commercial real estate portfolio and founded Wayo Ventures, helping others achieve passive income and financial independence. Taking a leap of faith in 2021, I left my successful corporate career and pivoted into entrepreneurship and real estate asset management.

The highs and lows of life have enriched my experiences and transformed me into a purpose-driven individual. In life I found myself again and again in underrepresented spaces so nowadays, I vow to keep pushing for more representation. I am thrilled to leverage the Mrs. Taiwan USA platform to make an even greater impact locally and globally. Utilizing the resources I have and through key partnerships, I am committed to making a difference and leaving a positive and lasting mark on the world.

I am deeply grateful for the support and blessings that have shaped my journey, and I am committed to using them responsibly to create a positive impact. Driven by the desire to make a broader difference, I have continually pushed myself to explore new horizons I never imagined. I hope to inspire others to be courageous, to embrace their potential, and to reach for their highest aspirations.
